Sneak peek anyway
Qasa is the leading rental platform in the Nordics, offering a safe and smooth rental experience for both landlords and tenants. As the first designer to join Qasa, I was excited to be part of a small startup with ambitious goals of becomming Europe’s largest rental platform.
At Qasa, my work has centered around three key areas: (1) driving product-market fit and boosting revenue through design, (2) laying the groundwork for a strong design culture at Qasa, and (3) continuously elevating the product’s aesthetics and usability to new heights.

Qasa’s transactional business model was something entirely new within the longterm rental market. Users expected a very different experience and initially struggled to see the value that we were offering.
One of my key objectives was to make the experience intuitive and ensure our services were not only understood, but also highly desirable.
Part 1
Driving user conversion in the chat
When users engaged with our chat, they often lacked direction and were left to navigate on their own. I introduced buttons that aligned with the user journey, allowing them to explore and interact with lease details directly within the chat. This transformed the chat into a guided flow, leading users seamlessly toward signing a contract. This redesign increased our home conversion rate by 38% in the months after the release.
Part 2
A dashboard for landlords
Interviews and surveys revealed that many landlords didn’t fully understand our services. To address this, we designed a rental dashboard that is accessible immediately after landlords post a listing, allowing them to explore our offerings at their own pace before securing a tenant. Following its release, we saw a 43% increase in revenue. By presenting lease and rental details upfront, landlords are more inclined to choose our services when it’s time to sign a contract.
Part 3
Prominent tenant listings
We aimed to increase tenant profile completion rates, as tenants with filled profiles were over 8 times more likely to convert. I led a google design sprint that resulted in the development of the Find Tenant feature. We introduced tenant listings, a tenant search page, and a seamless profile completion flow. This effort led to a 700% increase in completed profiles and a 87% revenue growth in the months following the launch.
Part 4
Home search improvements
In 2023, tenant applications didn’t keep up with our rapidly growing home inventory. To address this, I identified opportunities to enhance the search experience and deliver more relevant listings to tenants. The revamped search resulted in a 12% increase in applications per home.
As Head of Design at Qasa, I guided our design journey as we grew from a small startup into a 70-person organization with 3 designers. Over three years, I led Qasa’s design efforts, finding ways to deliver top-tier product design to our 80 000 monthly users.
My role involved creating tools that allowed us to maintain design consistency; including a component library in Figma, a design system in Supernova, and a set of product design principles and a pattern library.
Our old brand limited our ability to build a product that resonated with our users on an emotional level. We were seen as a forgettable tool, used out of obligation and discarded once the task was done. Our goal was for users to feel we were the partner they’d want with them every step of the rental process.
We partnered with the design agency design agency Bold to help shape Qasa’s new brand. I specifically led the exploration of how it could be applied to our product and oversaw its rollout.
